How to stay healthy in India

It's really very easy.

  • You need to find a doctor that knows their stuff

  • Hand over your first born as a down payment.

  • Make multiple appointments in 7, 14, 28 day cycles.

  • Take your brave pills

  • Bribe children with extravagant gifts

  • Hand over second born as next down payment

  • Get used to having two sore arms

  • Now start the grueling regime.

  • Hep A, Hep B, Typhoid, Cholera, Influenza, Meningococcal, Chicken Pox, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Diphtheria, Tetanus, Pertussis, Polio, Rabies, Japanese Encephalitis, TB and last but not least, a one year supply of Malaria tablets at $2000 per person

  • Now hand over your third born and all will be dandy.

So that all said, we have now nearly finished our immunisations with only the kids to have their TB needle and that is it for the next 12 months. Anyone interested in coming to visit????????The kids have all been very brave through the whole process and we are very proud of them seeing as this was not their choice but ours.(the extravagent gifts are still to come, I may need a part-time job to pay for them) We need to try all we can to keep our time in India as healthy as possible, so even if this sounds quite extreme we are sure it will help .

(anyone planning to come for a visit , please don't be turned off the idea ,these immunisations are only needed for long term stays)
